The app allows volunteers to find charitable organizations and events nearby and be able to join them. It also allows users to add their own volunteering events.
As part of the “Crazy for Good” initiative, a global initiative dedicated to people doing good for random strangers, we created “Radar for Good” for Coca Cola, the first mobile platform for close range volunteering, to support the people who want to do good in the society right now.
It’s never easy working with big brands. When you realize the power of their marketing, you know that the product has to be flawless or it will be torn apart by press and/or users. And as always timing was an important constraint, since they wanted the project to run in the Cannes Lion competition (less than 2 months ahead).
The reality is that the app was not really complex from a technical perspective. We knew exactly what we had to do that time. However, quality was even more crucial than usual there. No bugs were allowed, so we knew that testing was the key for the success of the project. Since budget allowed, we extended the testing team, did both automatic and manual testing, and implemented a crash reporting system so that we could identify errors even on low end devices.
The app ended app being 2 times shortlisted at Cannes Lion, was awarded with Gold at FIBRA Awards and won the Internetics competition.
